Hair care: what are the products and cosmetics, how they are used?

Hair needs not only regular cleaning. They need to be nourished and softened after each application of shampoo. Several times a week intensive care formulations are applied to the hair. Complementary products make it easier to comb and make hair shiny and manageable.

Shampoo

Shampoo is designed to wash away impurities: sebum, dust, skin flakes. Additional properties of shampoo depend on the composition, purpose and type of hair for which it is intended:

• Shampoo for normal hair. The main purpose - cleansing. Contains a minimum of additives.
• Shampoo for colored hair is designed to preserve the bright color on the hair. As part of the soft surfactants, a small amount of caring components.
• Shampoo for damaged hair is designed to nourish the hair and fill the voids in the hair with a broken structure. They contain mild to medium detergents, proteins, silicones, polymers, etc.
• Moisturizing shampoos are designed for dry, frizzy hair. They contain very mild Surfactants and components that retain moisture.
• Therapeutic shampoos contain medicinal ingredients to combat dandruff, seborrhea, hair loss.
• Shampoos for thin hair with polymers. Increase the volume of each hair, which makes the hair more lush. A deep cleansing shampoo with active Surfactants is recommended to remove excess polymers from the hair structure.

The shampoo is applied to wet hair in the root area and the scalp is cleaned by massaging the hair. The foam cleanses the hair along its length. Then they do not dry out.

Balms and Masks

Hair balm is a creamy product that is used after shampooing to nourish, soften the hair and make combing easier. It is left on wet hair for a few minutes and rinsed off with running water.

Hair conditioners are classified according to their purpose:

• An antistatic conditioner conditioner for hair eliminates electrifying hair and retains moisture. It can weigh hair down, so it is not recommended to apply it often to the root zone.
• Rinse- normalizes the pH, gives shine. It is applied to the entire length of the hair and scalp.
• Balm without additives - nourishes the hair follicles and softens the hair.

Hair masks are concentrated nourishing products, thicker than balms. They are used no more than 3 times a week. The mask is applied for 15-20 minutes on washed and towel-dried hair. To enhance the effect it is applied to warm hair, put a plastic cap and wrap with a towel.

Additional products for hair care

For the care of the hair, the following cosmetic products have been developed:

• Sprays with nourishing and anti-static components, with UV protection. Applied on clean, dried hair. Many such products have thermal protection. They are applied to the hair before blow-drying and styling. Sprays are used for oily hair.
• Oils intensely soften the hair. They are absorbed into the structure and do not produce a greasy buildup if they are applied in moderation and distributed to the strands evenly. The oils are intended for the ends of hair and are spread a little along the length of hair without going into the root zone. They are used for dry hair or for the very ends of oily hair.
• Creams are applied to the ends of the hair for extra nourishment and softening.

Hair that is regularly cared for has significantly less split and frizz. They are more manageable during styling and elastic. Hair products are pleasant to use because of the delicious fragrance and gentle textures.
