The secrets of Huawei's success: customer care and technology development
When the company was establishing itself, it restored damaged communications not only in cities, but also in remote villages as soon as possible. Thanks to this, Huawei's communications in China worked more steadily than those of foreign competitors who did not repair the lines themselves.
During the first years of operation, the company invested almost all of its profits in new research. Huawei cooperated with foreign technology development professionals. Working with IBM gave new experience in production and sales management.
Huawei opened research centers in India, Sweden, the United States and other countries, hiring mostly local workers. In this way, the company benefited from the experience and skills of foreign specialists.
Although Huawei's trade revenue declined due to strict U.S. sanctions, it surprised its earnings in 2021 by selling assets. Net income was $17.8 billion, the company's largest annual earnings.
