Gasoline tankers are one of the varieties of freight vehicles designed for the transportation of light oil products. This type of tank trucks are protected against fire, which ensures a high level of safety of transportation of flammable substances.

Today, gasoline tankers are actively used by enterprises in various fields. And this is not only refineries, and gas stations, agricultural firms, logistics and other companies.

Types of gasoline tankers

Today, various models of fuel tanks are actively used. The main types of gasoline tankers are:

  1. Semitrailers (can include from one to eight compartments). To assemble such containers, 4-mm steel is used, as well as special rolled aluminum alloys. The volume of tanks of this type of gasoline can be up to 36 cubic meters. The use of aluminum alloys allows increasing the payload of vehicles by reducing the weight of the container itself.
  2. Gasoline tank cars on the basis of truck chassis, as a rule, are wheeled. They have high mobility. The capacity of such containers varies from 3 to 20 cubic meters.

  3. Fuel tankers. Tanks of this type are used not only for transportation of fuel, but also for supplying of equipment under field conditions.

It should be noted that the machines of the latter type have specific technical equipment. For example, they have a powerful pumping system for supplying fuel to a high altitude.

Equipment of tank cars of gasoline tankers

Modern gasoline tankers are distinguished by advanced technical equipment, which may include automatic fire control systems, GPS, etc.

Each model of this equipment is equipped with:

  • technological and tool boxes;
  • a set of converters;
  • towing hooks;
  • anti-dumping systems;
  • ladder.

In the manufacture of gasoline tankers can be used chassis from various European and Asian brands. The choice of this or that base depends on the purpose of the equipment. However, in any case the vehicle must be equipped with a spark arresting system, flying out of the exhaust system, as well as the shielded wiring. Before each trip this equipment undergoes a special inspection to minimize the probability of its ignition during fuel transportation.
